Vacuflo E-Z Grip Hose Handle Replacement with Switch

Easy installation

The previous reviews were spot-on for the challenges. The different spacers and contact rings are tight to get on and the placement is important because when the hose goes back into the handle they need to be aligned with the contacts on the switch. The images in the instructions are a little small and dark so they don't provide a lot of detail, but once you look at it you see the setup. Take pictures as you disassemble the old handle for reference. Well worth the effort when the hose is perfectly fine.

I succeeded in replacing the handle for ~$50 while my local VacuFlo dealer said it couldn't be done and wanted to sell me a new hose for $200. That said, the instructions need work (and, better yet, a video). Bigger pictures would help. Also, an exploded view of all the parts would help to see how it all goes together. That might help prevent dummies like me from twisting the collar thereby severing one of the leads. Luckily my son was able to solder it back together and, with a lot of very careful effort, I exposed more of that lead and got it all back together.

I had some issues with the instruction sheet and getting the hose attached but otherwise things are great. Sorry about the bit regarding the shipping costs.
